March 22, 1996 began as a typical day for Jennifer Bowman and Guy Girardeau. Little did we know that by the end of that day, our lives would be changed forever. Guy and I met that day on a chat channel on the internet. He was living in Trenton, Ontario and I was living in Troy, Michigan. Guy is in the Canadian Air Force and I was in College and working as a cashier. Our lifelong journey began as internet meetings 3 times a week and Sunday evening calls from Guy. Guy traveled to Michigan many times that year. He met my parents for the first time on Mother's Day 1996.
As Guy and I dated, we quickly fell in love. We discussed getting married one day. Our song was "I love you always, forever" by Donna Lewis. We knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
